Popular author and speaker Jonnathan Zin Truong releases his first children’s book about overcoming trials and adversities.
HOUSTON, TEXAS. AUGUST 9, 2023 – Author, Jonnathan Zin Truong, releases his second book, Sandy: Arise and Shine, inviting readers into the life of Sandy, a tiny grain of sand, living on a beautiful Hawaiian beach on the island of Oahu. “I grew up in a home full of impossible trials,” stated Jonnathan Zin Truong. “Years later, looking back on my childhood littered with pain and abuse, I celebrate the lessons I learned through each ordeal. I believe that I am evidence that God can truly turn all things for good. My hope in writing this book is to spark inspiration for every dreamer to believe for more.”
Jonnathan’s latest book introduces readers to Sandy, a lonely grain of sand who embarks on a wild adventure of discovery as she fights for her life and is taken from the only home she has ever known, a beautiful beach in Hawaii. Through her journey, Sandy faces fears and trials bigger than herself and ultimately discovers her purpose in life. Jonnathan dedicates Sandy to everyone who hopes for more in life and people who seek to discover the purpose and beauty that come from life’s painful trials.

About Jonnathan Zin Truong
Born in Newark, New Jersey, and raised in Houston, Texas, Jonnathan never imagined he would become a successful author and pastor. In his youth, Jonnathan struggled in school with reading and writing, as well as suffering with a severe stutter. However, while in college, Jonnathan experienced a radical encounter with God minutes before attempting to take his own life. After he converted from a devout Buddhist to Christianity, he discovered that he was suddenly able to read, write, and speak without the issues which plagued him in his youth. With his new abilities, he began writing blogs and articles fervently and eventually authored his first book in 2019. Also, Jonnathan and his wife Olivia were ordained in 2015 and launched God Manifest, a small Christian church in Houston, Texas.
